Yes ladies and gents one of my favorite times of the year has finally arrived! The weather is breaking and so are the hearts of young women whose men are catching that spring fever.
The NBA Playoffs are here and boy do we have one hell of a lineup this year. They say the west coast is the best coast so let's start there. The brackets are as follows:
1 Lakers vs 8 Nuggets; 2 Hornets vs 7 Mavericks; 3 Spurs vs 6 Suns; 4 Jazz vs 5 Rockets.
In the Eastern Conference we have:
1 Celtics vs 8 Hawks; 2 Pistons vs 7 Sixers; 3 Orlando vs 6 Toronto; 4 Cavaliers vs 5 Wizards
I foresee the first round playoffs playing-off like this, In the East the I have the Celtics, Pistons, Magic, and my upset special WIZARDS surviving round one after 7 games of Wizardry.
In Kool Moe Dee's "Wild Wild West" the Lakers will prevail after six games, Hornets will Sting the Mavs and move on, Jazz will slip past the Rockets, and in my upset special SUNS will do everyone a favor and get rid of the Spurs in a 7 game punch-out. Let's not forget how they had the Spurs on the edge until the entire Suns team got suspended last year and Nash was playing 1-on-5 basketball.
If the Enver (no D) Nuggets lose which I think they will don't be suprised if Coach Karl quits and Mr. Allen Iverson's favorite coach Larry Brown steps up to finally bring a Defensive mindset to Denver. Now that Mark Jackson has quit his commentating job, he's the next coach for the NY Knickerbockers...let's watch and see.
LeBron with his 30.0 PPG is without a doubt the Scoring Champ this year, I think Kobe deserves the MVP crown because he held the team down after Bynum went down after 30 some odd games and Gasol has only been there for about 30. Kobe does have a rep of being a cocky bastard and who can forget about that precious white woman he sodomized? (The NBA frowns upon that) Don't be surprised if he's robbed and they give it to baby face CP3 Chris Paul who is the poster boy for youth and purity in this league. With that being said Byron Scott is my pick for Coach of the Year, Manu Ginobli will be Sixth Man of the Year, and Hedo Turkoglu will be the Best Improved Player for the 2nd time in his career.
I'm inclined to predict the entire playoff picture down to the world champion but I have to give you guys a reason to keep checking back to the blog. You can agree with me or disagree but it doesn't matter when it comes to sports because this is soley What JLB Thinks.
