Tired of the Game

So my homeboy who happens to be a Laker fan tells me he’s depressed about “the game” and I’m like “dude, they’re winning the series 3-2, what do you expect?”

He proceeds to tell me that wasn’t the game he was referring to but THE GAME…and in my best French accent I said “Ahh zee game!”

The game or zee game in which he was referring to is the game with women. This is the same game which requires the constant pursuit of oat sowing, chasing, and impressing the fairer sex. Now I don’t know if homie was indeed ready to give it all up and get out the game and hang himself err settle down, but I do know where he was coming from and we all have reached that point at some time or another.

The first sign of getting tired of the game is when the things about the opposite sex no longer excite you as they did when you going through puberty. For instance, as men it’s no secret that we are big on the physical appearance of a woman when we first take a shot at her. During those same years of puberty you would be content with the female if she was a trophy and everybody praised you for how gorgeous she was. You would be content even if she was a total Killjoy and never compromised on anything, as long as she was keeping her appearance together. Once you get older and you realize that all quality women keep themselves up, that just isn’t enough anymore.

With that said, as a man when you reach the point of sickness within the game you’re not as easily impressed and you’re standards grow larger. You become more demanding of a woman because you realized that beautiful women make up 83% of the female population or a DIME a DOZEN for lack of better words. With these increased standards comes increased drama which is another sign that the game is sickening

The drama increases because from the time the woman is birthed, she is nurtured into the notion that she is supreme, and to some degree I can agree with that because ultimately all women have what straight men seek. This life long nurturing by a mother only leads to the development of the mindset that as a woman she has to do nothing and that all men should fall before her feet like suitors to her princess. So we as men humble ourselves and do that to some degree by being the aggressor and the one who put himself in harms way to be potentially rejected thus the pressure rides solely on the shoulders of the man. Women know this therefore they have the advantage and like to manipulate the situation that she finds herself in. The problem is as a man your patience is already thin because you encounter that 83% of the population so often, who’ve been raised into this thinking and as a man you’re not trying to invest too much time into a woman who is more concerned with what you can do for her and her desires than actually meeting a decent, respectful individual who could serve as a major impact to her life. It’s twice as bad for a man who likes to network because then you have to deal with multiple personalities, all of which could or could not be on her “bow before me” tip at any given moment.

Watching old films and hearing stories from the elders it’s easy to gain that idea that the game has definitely changed. Women are more empowered in 2008 than they’ve ever been in history and they want a song and a dance upon request. What makes it such a constant tug of war is that majority of the men aren’t eager to show a woman everything he has to offer from an emotional stand point because the bulk of that 83% of women aren’t about anything but themselves. As a result men get tired of the game, tired of the chasing, tired of the long phone conversations that extend past midnight, and the steady dating from woman to woman because it truly easy easier to lose them than to find them…but that’s just What JLB Thinks
